RDA Events in the North Midlands
Polework Training Day
Monday 21st October 2024

We’re delighted to offer a training day devoted to polework with Bridget Mackwood, the RDA Showjumping lead.
This is aimed at all groups, whether you are a showjumping group or not, with the focus is on enjoying polework to the full in RDA sessions. Bridget will share ideas for having fun with ground & raised poles, working with horses to improve their polework and developing leading techniques for working over poles.
This training day is open to RDA coaches and volunteers and should be an informative and fun day for everyone.
The day will start with refreshments at 10.30am ready for a prompt 11am start. You’ll need to bring your lunch, but hot drinks will be available throughout the day.
There will be a charge of £10 per participant to cover the cost of the training.

RDA Safeguarding
RDA SAFEGUARDING COURSE
Thursday 7th September 2023 from 10am - 1pm in Keyworth
This course will be delivered by RDA trainer Toni Garside with all the latest updates from RDA.
Refreshments will be available from 9.15am
The venue is the Methodist Church Hall, Selby Lane, Keyworth NG12 5AH.
Free car parking is available nearby off Elm Street 2/3 minutes walk away. Participants can be dropped off outside the venue.
This is a good opportunity for a face to face training and a meet up with other RDA volunteers.

Training will cover:
Goal setting for schools and day centres.
Creating learner centered sessions within a group setting.
Session planning for 6-week blocks.
Open to all levels of coaches and will count as CPD providing a reflection sheet is completed on the RDA website.
Numbers restricted to 40. £10 per person. Tea & Coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.

RDA National Championships 2022
Friday 15th - 17th July 2022
Venue: Hartpury College, Gloucestershire
The RDA National Championships 2022 will be taking place at Hartpury College on Friday 15th to 17th July 2022. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, RDA UK has cancelled this event for two years.
Hartpury College have a very strict Covid-19 procedure in place and RDA UK ask all competitors, grooms and coaches to adhere to the rules.
