Regional Vacancies

Could you be the next Chairperson for North Midlands Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA)?

Have you got great people skills, a good head for organisation and enthusiasm for the ways in which horses can help people?

If so, this could be just the role for you!

The Regional Chair’s role is to work with county coaches & chairs to support the individual RDA groups which offer equestrian activities to those living with a disability. As a chairperson you’ll be well-supported by RDA UK with plenty of opportunities for training & working alongside other regional chairpersons. There may also be options for a job-share within this role.

Our region covers Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire & Northampton shire, with nearly 30 RDA groups supporting around 800 riders.

As a region we run training events and regional competitions, plus other occasional opportunities to get together and our regional committee meets several times a year.

We’re looking for someone used to leading people, chairing meetings and managing projects. Any experience of RDA, horses, people with additional needs and charities would be useful but not necessary as there will be plenty of opportunities to learn more about these.

If you have some time to commit to this role, the ability to do some occasional travelling within the region and a real interest in helping lead our region forward then we’d love to hear from you.

You can find out more about RDA at  https://rda.org.uk/  and about our region at https://www.northmidlandsrda.org.uk/
