Riding in a Bluebell wood in Lincs (May 22, 2011)
The Annual Lincs Wolds "Bluebell wood ride" was a great success this year. Kindly hosted by Jeanette and Simon Jones at their farm in Ulceby, riders from Lincs Wolds and Kesteven group met for a beautiful ride amongst the bluebells and wild ransom growing in the nearby wood. The heady scent of the flowers and the wonderful display of colour made it a ride to remember. After the ride there was an opportunity for the riders to "have a go" round a counrtyside challenge course. Those waiting for the riders to return were entertained by taking dogs, ponies and their parents round the course! The day finished with a well earned cuppa for the helpers - thanks to the catering staff for the amazing volume of cake they had produced, very tasty.
