We are very pleased to announce that Kathryn Goodwin of Mid Derbyshire RDA was presented by Clarissa with the Regional Volunteer of the Year 2018 award for North Midlands Region. This award recongise the immense contribution given by thousands of RDA volunteers and celebrates the achievement of regional volunteers in previous years including Shirley Kay, Chris McGarity, Hannah Fidler and Christine Durrance in our region over past few years. Regional Chairmen will determine this award each year, the winner recipient will recieve a trophy at an appropriate regional event.
Kathryn Goodwin has been volunteering with Mid-Derbyshire Riding for the Disabled for the past 20 years doing pony care, helping with the sessions or doing general field and stable maintenance. Kathryn is also a trustee of the group and is safeguarding officer. Kathryn enjoys being involved with the group and finds it rewarding to see how each individual that comes to our group enjoys their time riding and the connections that they build up with the helpers and horses. This reward is very well and Mid-Derbyshire are very lucky to have Kathryn.
"Kathryn is extremely hard working and nothing is ever too much trouble. She's a huge asset to our group"- Jane McKay, Mid Derbyshire Group Chairmen
Huge congratulations to Kathryn on her achievement behalf of the North Midlands Regional Committe!!
